Meet the New Family...

CRUSOE!

We just picked them up today from the Pierce County Humane Society and, let me tell you, they are stupendous. We gave them the surname Crusoe (borrowing from the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee blog tradition, of course). Robinson Crusoe is a novel about a man by the same name who spends many years marooned on a remote island. Before being rescued he encounters many adventures and unfortunate mishaps. For our first set of fosters, we thought this was appropriate.
Take a closer look!

Ava Crusoe

Ava is the Mama kitty. She's a tortoiseshell calico with gorgeous face markings (sort of a fifty-fifty thing) and we think she's about two years old. Ava is a total doll, she comes when called and drops whatever she is doing for any attention at all. She talks a lot. Give her a little love and she'll give it right back with a super loud purr. This is her first litter (we're guessing) and she's attentive and nurturing. She's our little explorer, a trait she has passed on to her daughters.

Penny Crusoe

Penny is Ava's little seal point, except that she has a white rear foot. Look at that face! Both kittens are only about a month old, so they're just getting into that early play stage. Penny has quiet temperament and likes to be held just like the baby she is.

Lizzie Crusoe

Named for the Beatles "Dizzy Miss Lizzie," she is just that. Adventurous and playful already, Lizzie is a bundle of laughs. Her face has the same fifty-fifty tortoiseshell markings as her Mama. She's just learning to jump on and off things, so biffs are inevitable. She likes to run around, but affection comes first. She'll be zipping around the room one minute, and asleep in your arms the next.

Our kitties need some time to grow up, but if you're interested in adoption and you live somewhere between Vancouver and Bellingham (seriously) shoot me an email, cwhitlatch@ups.edu, and we'll set something up. All adoptions must go through the Pierce County Humane Society, but don't worry we can help you with that.

We'll update periodically, so keep reading and Power to the Kitties!
