Penny and Lizzie are already getting bigger and with everyday that they get more comfortable in the house, they find a new way to wreak havoc. Well, as much as someone who doesn't even weigh a pound can wreak.
Penny is a little more independent, though they are both at a pretty needy stage. They're lucky, though, because when Ava decides she's had enough of their crazy-teething-baby antics there are four surrogates to pick up the slack. In fact, Lizzie is sitting in my lap, keeping me company as we speak.

We had a scare with Ava on Friday. She obviously wasn't feeling well when I let her out of their room in that morning. By afternoon, she was so lethargic that she was like a rag doll to pick up. We got a handout on panluekopenia, so naturally, that's what I was worried about. It's pretty much kitty parvo, and if they get it there is no way to treat it. But, GOOD NEWS! We had them tested at the shelter vet and no one has it. Ava is most likely fighting some sort of respiratory bug. She's sleeping for most of the day, but she is eating and drinking and all the other important things. We're going back today to see what else we can do to help them (Penny has been sneezing lately) feel better. Poor kitties. BTW- The mickey photo is from a LOLCat I made with Ava. It's not very good, but it was fun. :)
All the cats are really starting to be comfortable with us. It's nice to see their full personalities coming out. These kitties are perfect house kitties (well, the potty training for the wee ones is a little tenuous at times, but we're getting there). They greet you, come running when called and are comfortable being held and carried. A little food and some attention and they'll love you forever. They even try to help with the chores. A few days ago I was folding laundry, and all three kept me company. I think my sitting on the floor was the invitation. I hang my laundry bag from my bed post, so it makes a good climbing rope/ tarzan vine.
Remember, these guys will be ready for a home in early December. Kitties do make great Christmas presents. These guys will need a forever home so if you're interested in adopting someone, make sure you're in for the long haul.
