I will be temporarily retiring this blog while Ian and I are in Korea. If we can foster when we get back, we certainly will, but we'll need to be settled in a good location before we can do so. I will resume posting when we are back in the states. You should check out the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee or support the Humane Society online!
Have a good year!

Finicky Little Man
Kitties had their first appointment with Tracy yesterday. Everyone's in great shape, but we're trying to get more weight on Padme and Luke. Leia, however, is our little chunky monkey and will eat whatever we give her. We got some new food, and Padme seems to like it. We'll just have to wait and see if Luke will give up on Mom and try the more grown-up fare.

StarKittens: Return of the Cat Toys
Starring:
Leia
SHENANIGANS!
As you can see, Luke and Leia are nearly identical. They're coming on six weeks old and they are bundles of leg-climbing excitement. Padme is about a year old (probably a little under, by our guess) and is a total love. She'd be a great match for someone looking for a constant, purring companion. Maybe an older person? We've had great luck with the little ones and the litterbox. Very few accidents. They're good kitties. If you're interested and live anywhere from Olympia to Bellingham, drop me a line and I'll tell you more about them.

Hello there! It's been awhile!
After a long lull at the shelter and, therefore, in our fostering, WE FINALLY HAVE FOSTERS!
The last couple of months have been stressful (getting ready for graduation) and I didn't get a chance to update. Not that there was much to post.
I'll be posting pictures next week. There's a mom and two babies, but the mom is barely grown herself.
In the meantime, here's a photo of Ava being Ava:

The Photos I Promised...
Here are the lovely update photos that I said I would post. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long, my laptop monitor isn't exactly functioning anymore. But, without further ado, here are the kittens with their new family (much thanks to Ella and Emerson) during the holidays. Oh, and Emerson gave the little ones new names (I quite like them): Lucy (formerly Lizzie) and Lola (formerly Penny).
Looks like a great match to me. :)

Update!
So, I just got an email from Ella (the kitten's new mom ) and her daughter. They are doing great! As soon as I hear back with permission, I'll put the pictures up.
Ava is doing wonderfully visiting my parents with me. In fact, she's taken over the upstairs. Here are our dejected boy kitties:

Godfrey (my once bottle-baby cat, who will eventually come with me)
Oedipus, Eddie for short (my mom's flamboyant Siamese [la-low!])
Ava, on the other hand is happy as a clam. I hope the group relations get better...Here are some memories of the kitten's Thanksgiving visit:

Success!
The babies were adopted! Together!
Andrea and I carried them around PetSmart because there weren't any cages open.
Within an hour they were adopted.
Happy day.
